About me
Hands-on workshops exploring dumplings, festival foods, and everyday dishes from Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Hi, I’m Chris. I’m a chef educator from Singapore now based in Vancouver. For me, food has always been more than something to eat — it’s how traditions are passed down, stories are shared, and people come together.
Before moving to Canada, I worked in professional kitchens ranging from Japanese ramen shops to Chinese fine dining restaurants and café openings. Today, I work as a Chef-in-Residence with Growing Chefs, where I teach children how to cook and build confidence in the kitchen.
When I moved to Vancouver in 2025, I realised how much I missed the foods and celebrations I grew up with in Singapore — the festive dishes, the hands-on preparation, and the joy of gathering around the table. I started sharing these traditions through cooking workshops, cultural food kits, and community events that invite people to slow down and experience Southeast Asian food culture together.
My workshops are for curious home cooks, families, and anyone interested in learning about culture through food — whether you grew up with these dishes or are discovering them for the first time. Through hands-on cooking and storytelling, my goal is simple: to create a space where people can connect, learn something new, and enjoy the process of making and sharing food.
